The difference between FSC and SFI is...
FSC is a voluntary, international, forest management certification program. Verification of forest management standards is performed by independent third-party foresters, biologists and other scientists. FSC forests are managed for economic, environmental, and social benefits, and any company trading in these products must carry an FSC chain-of-custody certificate. The FSC program is endorsed by the World Wildlife Fund, Natural Resource Defense Council, World Resources Institute, Wilderness Society and other environmental organizations. The L.E.E.D. green building program offers one point if 50% of the value of the wood products in a commercial building project are FSC certified.
